OUR SERVICES

CAN Integrity Driven Maintenance

INTEGRITY DRIVEN MAINTENANCE

As a rope and specialist access contractor catering for all of the engineering disciplines that conventional maintenance contractors provide, CAN fills the gap between deck based and working at height to limit the need for conventional access solutions such as scaffolding.

CAN's ability to engineer solutions and efficiently complete activities in these more challenging areas places CAN in a unique position to add efficiency and cost saving value to our clients operations; collaborating to enhance asset reliability and ensure assets achieve maximum useful life.

CAN Fabric Maintenance

FABRIC MAINTENANCE

Following our integrity processes, CAN's FM capabilities range from conventional surface preparation through to the application and inspection of specialist coatings. Delivering a technical fabric maintenance service, we tailor our service to reflect the exact needs of our clients who benefit from our technical resources and experience in this area to provide a high quality, integrity driven service.

Specialising in difficult to access structures, rope access features heavily in the delivery of our focused fabric maintenance services and we pride ourselves on safely and efficiently servicing these challenging areas.

If we find a problem, be that mechanical or corrosion damage which requires a simple solution to remediate, we will arrest the imminent risk immediately and propose a long-term fix to our client. To provide enhanced service flexibility, our FM services can be embedded within term contracts or provided on an ad-hoc basis for discrete scopes.

Find and Arrest or Fix

CAN offer two cost effective, solution focuses approaches in this regard:

Find and Arrest

Preventing further deterioration and ensuring continued plant safety by addressing corrosion threats upon encounter through the application of a temporary coating when a permanent solution is not immediately available.

Find and Fix

Conducting planned, minor repairs to provide a permanent solution where corrosion is detrimental to a component's integrity. We will remove it live or isolated, assess the area and replace the coating.

Depending on the remaining wall thickness and planned life span, the most appropriate arrest or fix process is applied to client specification.

Fabric Maintenance QA/QC

CAN also offer third party Bgas CSWIP, NACE and/or ICorr certified painting, insulation and fireproofing inspection services. We ensure conventional FM scopes completed by other contractors are to specification and remain intact and effective for the recommended life span.

Quality control is essential to ensure coating systems last the anticipated life span. Without it, time and money are wasted on long lasting coating systems which have been applied incorrectly. We reassure our clients that the work has been completed properly and to specification. Utilising rope access where required, we access the exact FM location to provide a comprehensive quality check.

CAN Engineered Solutions

CAN Rope Access and Access Solutions

ACCESS SOLUTIONS

Rope access is synonymous with CAN having introduced Industrial Rope Access to the North Sea in 1986 and as a founding member of the Industrial Rope Access Trade Association (IRATA). CAN have maintained full IRATA membership and a seat on the Executive Committee since its inception with over 90% of our field personnel rope access qualified.

Working at height safely is of paramount importance to us with a safety-first approach embedded in our culture. With unrivalled knowledge and extensive experience in this field, CAN also provide bespoke and specialist access systems which have been designed to improve productivity and efficiency in challenging environments.

CANspan - Expandable Modular Work Platform System

Our patented modulat work platform which delivers the benefits of scaffolding without the associated cost. Used in conjunction with rope access, CANspan is extremely light weight and can span from 2m to 22m, be cantilevered up to 8m and arranged around most structures.

CANnet - Work Positioning Netting (WPN) System

An innovative access solution provided as an alternative to other traditional access methods where access is not possible by MEWPS or if working over water. WPN systems are manufactured to BS EN 1263 and offer a cost effective solution that reduces man hours whilst bolstering safety.

CANdeck - Temporary Working Platform

CAN also provides Rigid Aluminium Lightweight Flooring (RALF) that acts as a temporary work platform (TWP). This system, like CANspan, provides a stable working platform and is suited to offshore underdeck, bridges and jetties. Used in conjunction with netting panels the TWP can also be encapsulated providing complete security whilst working at height.

Where applicable, all services are provided utilising rope access or specialist access solutions to deliver an efficient and cost effective service to our clients.
