Data Inspection Managment

CAN (Offshore) have extensive experience in the adoption of data management systems databases in use by our clients. CAN (Offshore) have made a strategic decision to work closely with our clients in the selection of the most appropriate database(s) for their needs rather than the imposition of a CAN proprietary system. The result of this approach enables the most appropriate system for our client’s requirements to be identified and provided; it also results in the ability to support the choice to a high level through existing experience and a willingness to train personnel in any systems operation and usage. We can undertake a full review of the application and management of data under the previous contractor.

Due to our experience in database management, CAN (Offshore) can continue to use systems already in place should this be the client preference. Alternatively, we can make recommendations once a thorough evaluation is conducted on the present set-up and after considerations have been made as to what alternatives are available in the marketplace. CAN have worked with a variety of data management systems during their provision of Corrosion Integrity Management Services and have user licenses for a number of these software packages including: ACET, COABIS, CREDO, IRS, ORBIT, PCMS, Vision.

Our data management services include:
  • Provision, operation and maintenance of integrated data systems to support activities
  • Record and analyse inspection and corrosion data
  • Maintain electronic registers of all equipment
  • Produce trend reports, carry out risk assessments and production of inspection workpacks
  • Manage inspection data sheet packs
  • Manage structural inspection dossiers
  • Manage historical data (topsides and structures)
  • Manage pipelines inspection dossier


We can provide support to enable management of all collated inspection data. This includes input of recorded inspection results and data into the agreed data management system in a client’s preferred format where feasible.
