CAN achieve full membership status with LEEAIntegrity and Inspection Management provider CAN are delighted to announce the successful award of full membership status from the Lifting Equipment Engineers Association (LEEA).Full membership has been achieved after building core competencies within CAN’s operations as part of detailed and lengthy training programmes provided by LEEA. CAN have been provisional members for a number of years utilising LEEA’s global recognition as a trade association for training, qualification and competence for performing lifting gear inspection. It was this wealth of experience that CAN has drawn upon in order to become recognised byway of independent verification and regular audits as a provider of external lifting gear inspection. Full membership status assures our clients that CAN has the competence and approval to deliver high quality and detailed lifting gear inspection to the standards stipulated by LEEA. Commenting on obtaining full membership with LEEA, Adam Byrne, Operations Director, CAN, said: “We joined LEEA so we can benefit from the Association’s expertise in the area of lifting gear inspection, training and external independent verification. CAN have been building upon arrangements for lifting gear inspection and aim to model them on industry best practice. We have long regarded LEEA’s code on the safe use of lifting equipment as the authoritative guide and issue the User’s Pocket Guide to all our lifting gear inspection personnel. We see this additional service as complimentary with the existing services and competences we offer.
