We are looking to recruit a Senior Structural Integrity Engineer to manage the provision of Structural Integrity Engineering Services to a major North Sea operator.
Candidates should possess the following:
- Degree in structural or civil engineering
- Extensive experience of structural integrity management for offshore steel jackets and topside facilities
- Experience of working offshore
- Ability to read and interpret structural drawings
- Strong safety awareness
- Corrosion awareness
- Experience in technical data handling systems
- Knowledge and experience of relevant H&SE and regulatory requirements (DCR, PFEER)
- Ability to use initiative to direct and guide other team members.
- Strong interpersonal/client/contractor interfacing skills.
- Ability to produce high quality technical reports within time constraints
- Ability to work under a degree of pressure
- Proficiency in the use of Microsoft Word and Excel and ability to use bespoke databases.
- Willingness to travel to offshore sites when required (medical fitness certificate and survival training an advantage).
Duties include:
- Responsibility for the preparation and completion of structural inspection workscopes and implementation workpacks
- Review and interpretation of structural inspection information, workscopes and procedures.
- Carrying out first assessment of reported defects, assessment of anomalies and reporting accordingly.
- Liaison with structural model holders and Structural Technical Authority
- Liaison with Client / Duty Holder
- Liaison with specialist design construction Contractors on topside and subsea structural projects or other projects with structural implications
- Representing CAN or Client at regular and ad hoc integrity meetings / project meetings
- Preparation of periodical (e.g. monthly and annual) reports for key structural integrity activities.
