Specialist Access Solutions

CAN offers a range of unique items of equipment which complement and enhance standard rope access techniques, thus further increasing efficiency and reducing costs. We are constantly innovating, and the current range includes:

CAN Span
Is a patent modular work platform, extremely lightweight (11Kg/m), rugged and easy to assemble. It can be used at clear spans from 2m to 22m, cantilevered up to 8m, inserted through openings, lowered into tanks or arranged around most structures.

CAN Stage
Is the original lightweight access staging. Wider than CANSpan, it is an alternative option for some applications.

MAPS
(Mobile Access Platforms) Often improve productivity on the heavier and longer jobs. CANSpan and CANStage are often used in single sections as MAPS but we also have a specific lightweight folding version.

CAN Plank
Is a modular, single point support staging with a span capability of 30m or more. It will pass through openings and manholes as small as 45cm wide so is particularly suited to use inside large vessels such as spherical storage tanks.

HABITATS
Span, Stage, MAPS, Plank and purpose-built equipment can all be sheeted or meshed in if required for weather protection or debris containment.

CAN Girder Glider
Is used for fast, safe, easy traversing access on permanent or temporary beams. It is light, load tested and incorporates lock-off and back-up systems.

CANClips and CANCam
These enable aid climbing techniques to be used where there are no attachment points or holes for slings.

CANnet
Is a combined safety and Work Positioning Net (WPN) that meets EN1263. It is light, modular and easily rigged in any configuration.

Dedicated Access Solutions
For some projects it may be preferable to purpose-build access equipment, or adapt existing systems. CAN has a great deal of experience in this and has full in-house design, engineering, fabrications and load testing facilities.
