Structural Surveys & Concrete Inspections
|
Since 1983 CAN has completed over 4000 inspections
of structures ranging from high rise housing and office
blocks, to bridges, masts, towers and chimneys. Although
the structures may be varied, the benefits generated by
CAN's inspection division are common to all clients.
Clients typically need to ensure the safety of their structure and determine the most appropriate and cost-effective maintenance strategy. These goals have to be achieved within operational constraints: time, cost, restricted site access, safety, and quality. Quick to install and unobtrusive, rope access minimises disruption at ground level. By optimising the time available for data collection, CAN is frequently more cost-effective than alternatives such as scaffolding or hydraulic platforms. Furthermore, CAN's rope team provides a single source solution combining both access and inspection. Single source means less administration, easier site co-ordination and consequently, controlled costs. DLE InspectionsDefect Liability Expiry inspections check the quality of workmanship on new buildings and refurbishment projects prior to expiry of the maintenance period. CAN provides the client with an inspection report listing any defects that are identified and often verify the adequacy of subsequent repairs. Confined SpacesFor the internal inspection of pressure vessels, culverts and silos, CAN has technicians experienced in confined spaces working. All projects are subjected to a detailed hazard analysis, and safety procedures are strictly enforced. Air-fed helmets, SC breathing apparatus and continuous ducted air supply are among the safety techniques used as required. Surveys and Testing
CAN undertakes visual and tactile surveys incorporating, where necessary, a variety of testing procedures.
