Inspection/ Integrity Engineer

 

The CAN Group of companies are leading providers in Engineering, Integrity, Inspection and Maintenance solutions to the energy industry worldwide.

We are currently looking to recruit an experienced Inspection Engineer to work in one of our Client’s offices in Aberdeen.

The successful candidate will have demonstrated significant relevant industry experience with quantifiable, in-service inspection and assessment of pressure systems. Responsibilities shall include oversight for a small integrity team, managing the generation of workscopes, providing Inspection experience to evaluate scope requirements, durations and potential restrictions. The job holder will act as focal point for our Client, as well as liaising with various other departments including operations to ensure successful delivery of inspection scopes.

 

Candidates must possess the following:

 

Qualifications:

  • Educated to degree level in a science or engineering subject
  • Incorporated Engineer Status or working towards
  • ASME L2 Plant Inspection, API 570 or API 510

 

Skills/Experience:

  •  Ability to work on own initiative and as part of a team
  •  Demonstrate effective leadership skills
  •  Well-developed negotiation and problem-solving skills
  •  Knowledge of relevant standards relative to O&G industry equipment and processes
  •  Knowledge of NDT (including ANDT) and the principles of Risk Based Inspection
  •  Knowledge of degradation mechanisms relative to O&G industry
  •  Knowledge of Pressure System Safety Regulations (PSSR)
  •  Competence in use of computer packages (MS Office, etc.)
  •  Positive approach to compliance issues (Quality, Health & Safety)
  •  Effective communication and interpersonal Skills
  •  Ability to coordinate and prioritise work effectively
  •  Good time management skills
  •  Demonstrate all round skills and related technical competency
  •  Proficient report writing skills
  •  Flexible approach to work
