Our History
CAN (Offshore) Ltd was founded in 1986 when it introduced industrial rope access in to the North Sea and was a founding member of the Industrial Rope Access Trade Association (IRATA). With unrivalled knowledge and experience in this area, CAN remains the industry expert for the provision of rope access services. The business has diversified and evolved with the increasing challenges facing the industry with our focus remaining on protecting and extending the life of assets.
Initially offering rope access and trades related services we moved into the inspection and Advanced NDT market in the early 1990's, later expanding into inspection management. In 2003 we added a suite of integrity management and engineering services to our service portfolio which was shortly followed by the addition of vendor inspection and QA/QC services in 2005.
In 2014 we restructured and re-branded as CAN Group, forming our business streams CAN, ENGTEQ and VENTEQ to provide greater visibility to our full service offering. The CAN business streams deliver inspection, advanced NDT, trades related and access solutions; ENGTEQ provides integrity management and engineering services, and VENTEQ offers vendor inspection and QA/QC services.
Today, CAN Group remains an industry-leading, multi-disciplinary asset integrity service provider focused on supporting the entire asset life cycle.
