Terminal & Marine Turnaround Operations Advisor

 

The CAN Group of companies are leading providers in Engineering, Integrity, Inspection and Maintenance solutions to the energy industry worldwide.

We are seeking a Terminal & Marine Turnaround Operations Advisor, based in Malongo, Angola working on a 28/28 rotational basis to provide support across routine and major maintenance events.

 

Key Responsibilities-

  • Identify and address operational and technical issues within assigned asset areas.

  • Provide technical support and guidance during abnormal situations or incidents.

  • Coordinate with facility owners and multi-disciplinary teams (SCM, Facility Engineering, M&R, etc.), to support assigned asset needs and business plan delivery.

  • Develop and mentor Field / Facility Operators and Mechanical Reps. in preparation for the pitstop/turnaround events.

  • Oversee operation planning and preparation for the shutdown, bleed off, isolation and cleanup of the facility and equipment.

  • Support in delivering Shutdown, Isolation and Clean-up plans.  

  • Participate in the review and prioritisation of pitstop/turnaround worklists.

  • Oversee facility preparation (equipment isolation) for routine and major maintenance events.

  • Steward work optimization and contingency planning.

  • Coordinate with Ops to assign resources required during execution of routine and major maintenance (Area Control, Permit Coordinator, PSSR coordinator).

  • Shutdown Execution – Partner with and or lead Operations to ensure a safe shut-in e.g., depressurizing and cleaning of equipment in-scope.

  • Interacts with execution teams to anticipate roadblocks and develop solutions that maintain the deliverables.

  • Review, modify and develop shutdown and clean up procedures.

  • Maintain and update event milestones and KPIs for routine and major maintenance, and Facility Conduct of Operations areas.

  • Provide support and oversight to complete MOCs, Oversite of Operation Readiness Checks (PSSR’s) after work is completed, assist with completing of post-SD activities for routine and major maintenance (remove scaffold, demo, painting, insulation, cleanup, etc.).                                                                         

 

Requirements-

  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills

  • Proven track record of promoting a strong safety culture, ensuring compliance with OE standards and driving accountability.

  • Skilled in prioritising work, resolving conflicts, and maintaining alignment with planning, engineering, inspection, and repair teams.

  • Experience working in various roles within Production Operations offshore; preferably into a leadership/coordinator role.
