Aberdeen-based CAN Group continues its impressive growth through the launch today (October 9) of VENTEQ. VENTEQ is a division within the CAN Group delivering the group’s quality assurance, quality control and vendor inspection services previously provided under the CAN name.
The CAN Group, which specialises in providing engineering, integrity, inspection and maintenance solutions to the global energy industry, has created the VENTEQ brand in order to give a clearer focus and more distinct identity to the delivery of one of the group's key services.
“Since we were established in 1986 the group has grown significantly as a result of a strong track record in safety and delivery. In the last few years the quality assurance, quality control and vendor inspection part of our business has increased tremendously”, says CAN Group Commercial Director Innes Walker.
“VENTEQ will underline the growing international profile of our expertise in this area and help us seek out and win new business opportunities.”
VENTEQ will operate as a separate division within the CAN Group and its services will extend across all quality assurance and quality control inspection services, from third party vendor inspection to expediting and audit support services in support of manufacturing and supply chain management of client operations.
VENTEQ now operates from the company’s new engineering premises in Aberdeen and in client premises.
Walker says the VENTEQ division will be able to draw on the expert knowledge and experience of their inspectors and management to offer services tailored to meet individual client needs.
"As a division of the CAN Group, customers know VENTEQ is part of a company which has global reach and the capability to deliver bespoke inspection solutions”, he says.
The new division consolidates CAN Group’s international reputation in energy sector inspection, engineering and maintenance, and comes on the back of contracts with Bluewater, Centrica, Talisman Sinopec and Total awarded in the past year with a combined value of £134 million.
