CAN Wins Extension to Inspection Services Contract with Leading North Sea Operator

CAN Group’s market-leading Inspection Business Stream has secured a two-year extension on a single-sourced basis for the provision of Inspection Services, further cementing its position as a leading Inspection Services provider. 

The contract, with a leading North Sea Operator with multiple assets both on and offshore, will continue to be led by CAN’s market-leading Inspection Business Stream, which has successfully delivered both Integrity Management and Inspection Services for this international Operator continually since 2001. 

Following the successful outcome of a competitive tendering process, where CAN excelled in demonstrating its technical expertise and capabilities, CAN will extend its current service provision to deliver the full range of UKAS accredited Inspection and NDT Services, Advanced NDT technologies and Specialist Inspection Solutions across the client’s full portfolio of UK assets both on and offshore. 

Harnessing the advancements in technology, CAN will also be supporting their client in increasing the deployment of Non-Intrusive Inspection techniques, in partnership with ENGTEQ, CAN Group’s Engineering Business Stream, to provide an integrated and cost-effective service to enhance plant reliability and production uptime.

The planning and delivery of inspection and remediation of Potential Dropped Objects (PDO’s) also remains within the contractual scope and will be delivered by existing in-house resources via CAN’s Trades Business Stream. Multi-skilled resourcing strategies have been successful in optimising the value this service brings to the client’s business, aligning with the DROPS Industry Group of which both companies are active members.
