QHSE Advisor

 

The CAN Group of companies are leading providers in Engineering, Integrity, Inspection and Maintenance solutions to the energy industry worldwide.

We are currently looking to recruit a QHSE Advisor for a role in our QHSE department in Aberdeen. As well as working within a dynamic and forward-thinking organisation, the successful candidate will enjoy structured training and career development.

This role is a full-time position working Monday to Friday; overtime may be required as well as offshore and nationwide travel as part of the role.

Candidates should possess the following skills;

 

Essential

  • NEBOSH qualifications (or equivalent)
  • Auditing qualifications and/or experience
  • Valid Offshore Survival, MIST and OEUK Medical certification (preferable but not essential)
  • Minimum 3 years QHSE management systems experience
  • Degree or equivalent qualification (preferable but not essential)
  • Proven experience within a similar role and of standards such as ISO 9001, ISO 14001, ISO 45001 and ISO 17020
  • Ability to acquire sufficient technical knowledge to understand the Company’s business and scope of services
  • Excellent communication skills both written and verbal
  • Capable of acquiring and applying detailed legal, technical and regulatory information
  • Ability to prioritise workload with a flexible approach to work to be involved in a wide range of duties
  • Commitment to CPD

 

The Successful candidate will be:

  • Confident with excellent technical, organisational, planning, interpersonal, IT and problem solving skills
  • A practical person who is approachable with the ability to apply judgment from a commercial and business perspective

 

Role:

The main duties will be to ensure the QHSE department delivers on all related matters to CAN and it’s Clients including the maintenance of relevant accreditations and approvals. This also includes ensuring compliance with relevant legislative and regulatory requirements and providing necessary QHSE advice.

 

Tasks Include

  • Provision of advice to Managers and Staff on all aspects of QHSE Company policy and legislative requirements
  • Participation in both internal and external audits
  • Travel to offshore and onshore locations to conduct site visits/audits
  • Evaluation and maintenance of existing QHSE Management system and the implementation of improvements
  • Liaison with certifying bodies, Clients, and enforcement agencies over regular QHSE system audits
  • Implementation and communication of the Company’s QHSE programmes
  • Investigation of incidents to identify root case and improvements
